I have the fondest memories of Mr. Lukasiewicz from the time I transferred to AHS way back in the day, as a sophomore who'd just moved to CT from NJ. His honors English class was a refuge, and arguably my most memorable class at AHS. Ken (as he ultimately allowed me to call him) was a gifted teacher who pushed his students in the most positive way; my written and spoken English blossomed that year, and his firm but gentle guidance, coupled with his vast knowledge, openness, humor and encouragement, made all the difference for a shy kid who was still finding his way. I not only remember him as one my favorite teachers at AHS, but I recall how honored I was when he wrote a stellar college recommendation for me. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones; I hope you take great pride in knowing that Ken had an amazing impact on me and surely many others.

Jameson, `Luke´ was a friend of mine while going thru high school. He not only was my sophomore home room teacher but also my wrestling coach. He was always good to me and my brother and sisters. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Lukaswiewicz was my all time favorite high school teacher. My first encounter with him was for "Speech and Research." After that, I signed up for as many of his classes as possible because of his incredible teaching style, his knowledge, and the knowledge that he imparted on me. Thanks to him, I learned phenomenal vocabulary, how to speak publicly, how to research, how to analyze, and most importantly, how to write; a lost art these days. I will forever be grateful to him and his expertise, as he truly shaped who I am today. He was, without a doubt, one of a kind. May he rest in peace and may you find comfort in the coming days.
