He also was a well known baseball umpire for many years. Besides his wife Dorothy he leaves his daughters, Karen Piazza and her wife Nan Tooker, of New Sharon, Maine, Darlene G. Pollock and her husband, David A. Pollock, of Deep River, his son, Brian K. Dayett and his wife Christine, of Winchester, Tennessee, his granddaughters, Nicole Cooper and her husband Sam, Kris Pollock and her husband, Bob Blair, his grandsons, David L. He also is survived by his uncle, Donald Smith of Deptford Township, New Jersey, and his sister-in-law Edna Cirillo and her husband, Tony of East Windsor. He was predeceased by his parents, Isabel and Frank and his step-brother, William Walden. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and for his devotion to the Deep River community. So very shocked and saddened after seeing the passing of "Larry" Dayett. I have fond memories of meeting him and Dorothy a few times when they would come to visit their son, Brian. They were always so sweet to me tho they never really knew me except as a fan of Brian's from his Chicago Cubs days. Larry had a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eyes. I truly hope that Dorothy is doing well. So very sorry for your loss.

My dear Cousin Larry, I hate the thought that I can no longer ever see you again, You were always such a great guy, got us kids going in the right direction. Always had soo much patience with the younger generation. I saw you last when Isabelle was going downhill, I had hoped I would see you again, Dave

My sincere condolences to all of you during this difficult time. I worked with Larry at UARCO from 1974 to 1983 and enjoyed every minute of our time together. Just last month we became friends on Facebook and had a brief exchange. I hope that the wonderful memories you have will serve as comfort to you. He will be missed by many.
