Linda Rose Green

1947 - 2014

Linda Rose Green, 66, of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1947, in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Homer and Virginia (Angelillo) Green. Linda grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford Public High School with the Class of 1965. Linda was a musician, artist and world traveler. A kind, caring and beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed. She leaves her devoted daughter, Kimberly Butcher Salvatore and her husband Anthony of South Windsor; her sisters, Laura-Lee Carroll and her husband Edward Carroll Jr. of Manchester and Mary-Alice Colasanto and her husband Thomas of Tolland; two precious grandchildren, Angelina and Anthony Salvatore of South Windsor; her godson, Jason Craig and his wife Jennifer; her niece, Amber Kettle and three nephews, Edward Carroll III and his wife Sara, Benjamin Carroll, Marc Carroll and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Green and former husband Martin J. Butcher. Her family will receive friends on Monday, May 19, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 9:45 a.m., at the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Service, 11 a.m., at the Ellington Baptist Church.
