Lisa CAVANAUGH Obituary

Lisa Marie Cavanaugh, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was greeted at Heaven's gate by her brother Tommy.

Lisa was born on August 21, 1964 in Hartford and was the beloved daughter of Thomas J., III and Pearl "Terry" (Truncali) Cavanaugh. Lisa grew up in Hartford's South End where she had many friends. She was a wonderful woman who loved spending time with her family. She did enjoy her occasional trips to the casino where she loved to play blackjack. She loved to play it so much that she recently had a blackjack tattoo placed on her arm. Lisa and her mom always had a special bond, every weekend they would enjoy going to Panera's in Bristol and were joined by her sister and friends. Being together with them was the highlight of her week. Previously Lisa worked as a recruiter for a staffing agency in Farmington.

In addition to her parents, Lisa leaves her cherished son, James M. DiGiacomo of Hartford, her sister Michele P. Bixler and her husband Troy of Newington, her nephew William Groman of Newington and a very dear friend Brandi Baxley of Bristol. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas J. Cavanaugh IV, her maternal grandparents Victor and Pauline (Augello) Truncali, and her paternal grandparents Thomas J. Jr. and Gertrude (Kent) Cavanaugh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. The family will greet relatives and friends after Mass, there will be no burial. The D'Esopo Funeral Chapel of Wethersfield has been entrusted with the services for Lisa. So Very sorry for the loss of Lisa. She was a very lovely person. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be Present with The Lord. God Bless her soul.
