Lucie Massa

Lucie (Ciaffaglione) Massa, 83, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Frank J. Massa, Sr., died Thursday (August 1, 2002). She was born August 11, 1918 in New Britain and was the daughter of the late John and Sophia Ciaffaglione. She was the office manager for the former Bell Heating and Oil Co., Hartford, retiring many years ago. She was a communicant of the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield and a member of the Young Italian American Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Frank J. Massa, Jr. of Old Lyme and Gary J. Massa and his wife Cheryl of Somers; two brothers, John Ciaffaglione and his wife Joyce of Avon and Sebastian Ciaffaglione and his wife Rina of New Britain; four grandchildren, Frank J, Massa, III of Plainville, Lisa Craft and her husband Rodney of Burlington, Kristina Massa and Angela Massa, both of Rocky Hill; and a daughter-in-law, Stella Massa of Plainville. She was predeceased by a sister, Concetta Oliva. Funeral service will be Monday, 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield.
