Margaret Rohner Obituary
Margaret Ann Rohner, 45, of Deep River, died on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Margaret was born on May 27, 1968, attended Valley Regional and Robert E. Fitch High Schools and Missouri Western University. She owned her own business, Margaret's Home and Garden. She is survived by her loving companion Jack Adanti of Deep River, her son, R. O. Rankin of Deep River, her father, Robert Rohner Sr. of Thailand, and a brother Robert Rohner Jr. and his wife Christine of Nebraska as well as several nieces and many beloved friends. Margaret was predeceased by her mother, Rosemary Woodruff Rohner. She was a member of the United Scandinavian Society of Deep River. Margaret was a breast cancer survivor and spearheaded 'Boobstock', a live-music fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness to benefit Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center in October of this year. Good, gentle, kind and beautiful in every way, Margaret loved life, playing pool, tubing the Salmon River, camping on Selden's Island, the Deep River Muster, The Chester Fair and so much more. She was a strong person and a true friend to so many, a testament of her ability to put others ahead of herself. She was a loving mother and a saver of animals. Her laugh and smile will never be forgotten. A memorial service to honor her beautiful life and spirit will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2013, at 1:00 PM, at the First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Connecticut, 576 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.

A very good friend of yours is going thru a very rough time right now. I know that your angel self is watching over her and helping her get through this and keeping her strong. I was searching for old friends on FB and saw the posts so I had to be sure this was the Margaret I knew from her brother and Dad field trialing out of Missouri. Sadly it was. She was so sweet, full of life and fun. My condolences to her family, especially her son Bobby and brother Rob. RIP Margaret.

I remember Margaret from my childhood. We took the same bus to school, bus 24, and we picked her up in front her family's home. She was very quiet, soft spoken and beautiful young woman.
As I've read the comments and seen pictures, it seems her inner and outer beauty have have flourished through the years.
