Matthew Bailey Obituary

Matthew James Bailey, passed away on Friday (November 21, 2003). He was born December 24, 2002 and leaves behind his parents Heidi and Robert Bailey; his sister Margo; and his brother Rob, all of Ellington; maternal grandmother, Kae Lieblein of Greenport, NY; maternal grandfather, William Lieblein of Shelter Island, NY; paternal grandparents Margaret and Robert Bailey of West Springfield, MA and an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Long Island, New York. As Matthew was born on Christmas Eve, we knew from the start that he was a special baby. In his short life, Matthew touched many lives. He was best known by his family for his cute smile and the way he sometimes laughed while he slept. He will be missed and loved. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 25, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 63 Pine Street, West Springfield, MA followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 1151, Monroeville, PA, 15146-1151 (412-793-8077).
