MARINO, Michael S. Michael S. Marino, 83, of East Street, Middletown, beloved husband of Dorothy (Cobb) Marino, died Sunday, (April 16, 2006) at his home. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Salvatore and Rose (Ripa) Marino. A veteran of World War II and Korea he served with the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement he was employed with International Silver Company. Mike was a member of the B.P.O. Elks 771 and the Veterans of Foreign War. Besides his wife, Mike is survived by a son, James Marino and his wife Karen (Aresco) of Austin, TX; two daughters, Nancy (Marino) Martin of Middletown, Catherine Brunetti and her husband Steve of Bozrah; four grandchildren Erika, Matthew, Kevin Brunetti, Jessica (Martin) Stewart; a great-grandchild, Chloe Emma Stewart; also several nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by two brothers of Middletown, Mario and Joseph Marino and eight other siblings. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy in St. Pius X Church, Westfield Street, Middletown. Burial with Military Honors will be in State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Westfield Fire Department, Attn.
