Michael Pavano Obituary

On Tuesday afternoon, March 14, 2023, Michael Christopher Pavano, age 43, passed away with his adoring family at his side. It goes without saying, that Michael will be missed by the family and friends that were lucky enough to know him. Michael enjoyed running, hiking, biking and camping. He also loved surfing at Narraganset Beach in Rhode Island, Virginia Beach and The Outer Banks of North Carolina. He took great pride in his fitness accomplishments. He loved playing the guitar and was extremely tech savvy. Michael was also a New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He also was an amateur wood worker and has left behind many treasures for his family to enjoy for years to come. Michael was a proud dog owner to his beloved dog, Shane. We are sure the two are reunited now. A very private man, Michael fought a long and difficult battle with PLS (Primary Lateral Sclerosis). This chronic debilitating disease challenged Michael in ways most of us could never imagine. It was a reality that he was tested in this life. He fought hard and continued on every day in his private journey. His illness was brutal and unforgiving, but will now be put to rest that he no longer has to fight. Michael will be remembered for who he was, and the memories we treasure, not by the illness he fought! Michael leaves behind his loving parents, Michael and Beth Pavano. Not a day went by that they were not dedicated to the care and comfort of their son. He also leaves his sister, Samantha Harter and her husband Gary and her children; his goddaughter Riley Myers, and his beloved nephew Caleb Myers. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and by his two dear friends, Carmen Valle and Dave Arigemma. We are sure that wherever Michael is now, he is running with his dog Shane by his side, with the wind in his hair and a grin on his handsome face. Calling hours for Michael will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT 06489. A funeral home service will be held at 6:30 PM that evening. Burial will be private. Contributions in Michael's memory may be made to the ALS Association 4 Oxford Rd. Unit D, Milford, CT 06460.
