Myrn Keryc Obituary

Myrn Keryc (Tishler), a long-time resident of Westbrook, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 surrounded by her adoring family - her husband, Paul; her children Todd and Caitlin; and their spouses Julie and Olin. She is survived by her older brother, Dr. Ronald "Butchie" Tishler, and her twin brother Dr. Steven "Cy" Tishler. Myrn served passionately on the Westbrook Board of Education for 15 years. Her warmth and infectious spirit have brought joy to all those who were lucky enough to know her. Her husband and their children followed her wishes to have a private burial. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Myrn Keryc at P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.

Paul, Todd, & Caitlin. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed all of my conversations with your wife/mother. Whenever she was at W.H.S., I loved spending time talking with her. Her love for Westbrook was abundantly evident. I will miss seeing her around. All of my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Kathy Womer-Zocco, English teacher, Westbrook High School.

My memories of Myrn are just the greatest ever. We went on many Registrar luncheon trips, and as she always called it "ladies luncheons" for many years. We certainly had loads of fun through the years. She was a true friend, and I will always love and miss her.
Rest in peace dear Myrn.
