Otis G. MCCANN

MCCANN, Otis G. Otis G. McCann, 93, of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Mason) McCann, died Monday (March 7, 2011). Otis was born April 23, 1917 in Manchester, son of the late William S. & Marie (Grisch) McCann and has been a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post # 102 in Manchester. He was a lifelong member of South United Methodist Church and had been active with the A.A.R.P. Chapter # 1275. Otis retired in 1983 as a Foreman after 46 years with Hamilton Standard. He is survived by his cousin Pauline Sundt and her family of Tinton Falls, NJ. and many friends and neighbors in Manchester. Graveside services will be held Thursday (March 10, 2011) at 1 p.m. Section A of East Cemetery in Manchester. There are no calling hours. The Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester has care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post # 102, 20 American Legion Dr., Manchester, CT. 06040.
