Pauline T. "Polly" Folan

FOLAN, Pauline "Polly" T. Pauline "Polly" (Telepciak) Folan, 86 of Enfield, entered into eternal life surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, (October 11, 2006) at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs. Polly was the beloved wife of 32 years to the late John F. Folan, Jr. She was born on December 8, 1919 in Westfield, MA daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Gira) Telepciak, and had resided in the Hazardville section of Enfield for 55 years and in Springfield, MA prior to that. Polly was raised and educated in Westfield, MA and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Prior to her retirement in 1982, Polly had been employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 15 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, she also loved time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren. Polly was a very devout catholic and parishioner of St. Bernard's Church. A dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt she will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, a son, John Folan & his wife, Deborah of Enfield; a son, Kevin Folan & his wife, Shirley of NC; a daughter, Marguerite Devlin & her husband, Michael of Somers; a son, Christopher Folan & his wife, Donna also of Somers; her nine beloved grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Joseph Telepciak and a sister Dorothy Telepciak, both of Westfield, MA; and many nieces and nephews. Polly was predeceased by five sisters; Regina, Anna, Mary, Frances & Helen and two brothers; Charles and William. Funeral service in celebration of Pauline's life will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 9:3O a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 426 Hazard Ave, Enfield. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery Westfield, MA will be private. Pauline's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, Oct. 16 from 5-8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels.
