Reverend Reginald Valentine Pinnock, 80, the husband of Missionary Virginia Pinnock of Hartford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (July 17, 2012) at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Reverend Pinnock was born in Manchester Jamaica, January 3, 1930. He was the son of Isaac and Ellen (Hylton) Pinnock. He arrived in the United States as a finished carpenter and a furniture maker in 1969. He became a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1983 and opened his church Calvary Revival Assembly in Hartford. He preached the Gospel for more than 30 years and has led many souls to Christ including his children. He extended his ministry to include two churches in Jamaican located in Comfort Manchester and Blue Mountain Manchester. Reverend Pinnock is survived by his wife Missionary Virginia Pinnock; his children Bevon Pinnock, Wilton Pinnock, Regina Pinnock, and Joan (Pinnock) Coleman; his brother Grandville Pinnock of Brooklyn, NY; cousin George Pinnock of Palm Beach, FL; his grandchildren Andrew Pinnock, Bryson Pinnock-Roberts, Tannya (Pinnock) Hylton, Christiana Torsu, Jonathan Pinnock, Latasha (Pinnock) Diaz, Kendall Pinnock, and Joanna Coleman; his nieces and nephews, Paul Pinnock, Adveril Stulz, Owen Brown, Noel Brown, Donna Brown, Con Brown, Doreen Pinnock, and Maxine McClinton; his great-grandchildren: Annya Robinson, Byrson Pinnock-Roberts Jr, Andrell Pinnock, Dior Pinnock, Cavel Hylton, Sandrene Hylton, Kareem Hylton, Malik Hylton, Aiden Torsu, Elijah Torsu, Myah McClinton, Mitch McClinton, Malayah McClinton, and Gabrianna Diaz. The family would like to thank the home church Calvary Revival Assembly of Hartford, Heritage United Pentecostal of Bristol, Gethsemane Church of God of Hartford, Calvary Evangelistic Assembly of Brooklyn, NY for their continual support and prayers.
Flowers and contributions may be made to Virginia Pinnock at 350 Lyme Street, Hartford, CT 06112. The viewing (12-2 p.m.) and funeral service (2-4 p.m.) will take place on Saturday July 21 at the Ahern Funeral Home, 180 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT. Reverend Pinnock will be buried in his homeland of Manchester Jamaica.
