Robert E. DIMEO

DIMEO, Robert E. Robert E. Dimeo, 85, of Burlington, widower of Gloria Ann (Ames) Dimeo, died on Sunday (December 5, 2010) at home. Robert was born in Bristol on November 30, 1925 and was a son of the late Joseph and Celeste Dimeo. Raised in Bristol, he was a United States Army veteran of World War II and has been a longtime Burlington resident. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Bristol. He leaves a son, Robert S. Dimeo of Bristol; several nieces and nephews; his caretaker, Frances Merithew of Burlington and his adopted grandchildren, Maria and James Merithew. A special thanks to friends, John and Donna LeBlanc, Roger and Terry Durant, and Michael Durant. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (December 9, 2010) at 8:30 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
