Robert Paul "Hurricane Bob" Dudek

Robert Paul "Hurricane Bob" Dudek, 57, of Staeth Road, East Hampton, beloved husband of Janet L. (Griegerik) Dudek, died Sunday, (June 2, 2002) at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown. Born Dec. 3, 1944, in Stamford, son of Emily (Kralik) Dudek and the late Steven Dudek, he had lived in the East Hampton and Marlborough area since 1985. Robert donated his time to bird rehabilitation and gave lectures to the East Hampton schools and other civic organizations. He had also been a member of the Wild Weed Band of Windsor, where he played drums and bass guitar. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, Steven J. Dudek, Jr., of Stamford; two sisters, Helen M. Shramek of Portland and Dolores L. Jennings of Stamford; a sister-in-law, Judith Ann Dudek of Simsbury; and an aunt, Julia Mammone of Stamford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, in the Haddam Neck Covenant Church, 17 Haddam Neck Road, Haddam Neck, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the family plot in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford, at 2 p.m. There are no calling hours.
