Dear Morrissette Family,

I taught with Roger at Sedgwick for many years. He always had a kind word, a smile, or a joke for everyone. He had a wonderful heart and the kids loved him. He seemeed to undestand instinctively what adolesents were going through and what they needed, too.

I always felt as if he walked with God and one was richer for having known him. While you must be sad to lose your partner, father and relative,I am sure you have many memories to sustain you and that Roger's spirit will live on in all of you.

Sincerely,
Lorraine Curran

Mr. Morrissette was one of my teachers at Sedgwick. I graduated in 1990 from Conard and to this day I can still remember his shining personality and humor. He had a unique way of teaching that made students want to learn. He will never be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mr. Morrissette was such a wonderful and kind man. He was my math teacher at Sedgwick in the late 80's. I would always love going to his class. He always made class so fun and interesting with his songs and dances. I still find myself today talking about him and the way he taught students.

He will truly be missed!!

Dear Family: I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. Mr. Morrissette was my 9th garde math teacher and mentor in 1966 at Talcott jr. high in Elmwood. I am a math teacher today thanks in part to Roger's influence. We had remained friends over the years. He was also a neighbor and good friend of my mother's Mrs. Jeanette Luko on Westgate street in Elmwood. On behalf of Mrs. Luko and myself, sincerest condolances to the Morrissette family.

I was a student of Mr. Morrissette at Talcott Junior High school in the early 1970's. He was a jovial man who strived engage his students. I always looked forward to his lessons, especially when he would recite 'The Duke of York' for us. I remember some of the math, but I'll never forget 'The Duke of York'. Rest in peace, Mr. Morrisette.

To the Morrissette Family - Roger Morrissette was such such a kind man. He was my math teacher at Talcott in the 70's, but I also have seen him often over the past few years as he faithfully came to my parents house in the morning to serve my mother communion after her stroke. He was so proud of his family. As students, he would tell us stories about his children Peter and Susan and "his lovely wife".

Mr. Morrissette (as I knew him!) was one of my favorite teachers in Talcott! Not only did he really teach the students, he always took the time to listen to his students and had a smile and a story to tell.

After that, Mr. Morrissette was a teacher to my children at Sedgwick! What a pleasant surprise that was!

He is a shining star that will be missed! May your warm memories of him comfort you at this time.
