Rosa Carpinteri Obituary

Rosa Carpinteri, 94, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully on May 28 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife for 60 years to the late Paolo Carpinteri, the love of her life. She was born November 24, 1926 in Solarino, Province of Syracuse, Sicily. She was the daughter of Giusseppe and Concettina Perruccio. She came from Sicily in 1952 to Montreal, Canada, They moved to Rocky Hill to live in their dream house and spent many wonderful years there. Rosa worked as a seamstress in the factory, then as a professional seamstress making dresses from scratch. She is survived by three loving children. Two sons, Joseph Carpinteri and Santo Carpinteri and wife Theadora; and a beloved daughter, Rosemary Cassetta and husband Michael of Berlin. She leaves two very cherished grand-sons who called her Nonna Rosa, Joseph and Paul Cassetta, along with Paul's wife Nicole and their child Noella Rose, Rosa's great-grandchild. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was filled with Joy every time they came to visit. She is predeceased by her brother, Salvatore Perruccio and wife Santina; and her sister, Concettina Perruccio and husband Salvatore. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish at St James Church 767 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
