Rose V. Romajas

ROMAJAS, Rose V. Rose V. Romajas, 92, of Marion, died peacefully on Saturday, (October 25, 2008) at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Macionis) Romajas. Rosie was a lifelong resident of Marion and was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Plantsville. She proudly worked on the homefront during World War II as a supervisor at Scoville's and retired from Pratt & Whitney, Southington after 25 years of service. Rosie was active in the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club and was on their bowling, golf and softball leagues. She enjoyed her extensive travels throughout the world and loved working in her garden. A devoted sister; she leaves her two sisters, Anna Kania, Pauline Gedraitis and her husband, Frank; her sister-in-law, Jane Romajas, all of Marion. Aunt Rosie also leaves many loving nieces and nephews and their families. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Frank Romajas and two sisters, Victoria Paige and Stephanie Valentine. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 27 10:30 a.m. from Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. at Burritt Hill.
