I worked with Roy for 11 years at the museum and have never met a more dedicated security officer. Roy will be missed and will always be a part of the Protection Services Dept of the Wadsworth Atheneum.

I always looked forward to seeing Roy when I came to the Wadsworth Atheneum to do a tour. To my delight, we chatted many times about the museum and life in general. We docents adored and respected him. He is greatly missed. Our condolences to his family and his friends.

I knew Mr. Roy when he was a guard at the Wadsworth Atheneum. He was a good friend to all of the docents, encouraging us when we were nervous about leading tours and cheering us on with his wonderful smile. I missed him when he retired from guard duty. I send condolences to his family-- he was a good man. Ginger Smith
