Grandma was a spitfire. Virtually all of my memories center around her quick wit, her humor, and of course her brisket, kashi vanishkies, and chop liver. I remember sitting around Sunday brunch in Lowell, grandpa sitting at one end of the table making bird whistling noises and grandma saying, "Shut up, Aby-Baby". I remember Great-grandpa Sam proving how strong he was and gribbing my wrist and not letting go and grandma screaming from the kitchen, "Stop grabbing the kids Sam." But more than anything, I remember feeling loved and cherished whenever I was around her. She may be gone, but she is never forgotten. I hope she and grandpa have reunited with mom and are watching the rest of us, until we meet again.

Every Thursday afternoon for the last several years, my dog, Sam, and I have visited residents of Hebrew Health. Among Sams very favorite ear scratchers was Ruth, whom we met at our very first visit. We saw and chatted with her every Thursday since then, frequently in the 3N dining room where Ruth always called Sam over to her table for a vigorous ear scratch and a few treats I would give to her when Sam wasnt looking. Sam and I extend our deepest condolences to Ruths family on the loss of this warm, loving and funny woman. Peace.

Grandma was an amazing woman filled with life, love, and devilish sass. I cherish the many memories I have of her from the earliest of ages going to brunch every other weekend and high tailing it to the chips and special dip as well as her famous chopped liver. Her brisket, chicken, and chopped liver will continue so long as I can cook. I know she has joined two amazing people up in heaven and will be looking down on us with them. I love you grandma and always will.
