Savero Castaneda-Llanos

Savero Castaneda-Llanos, 89, of Francis St., Hartford, widower of Isabel (Diaz) Castaneda, died Saturday (August 11, 2001) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Mr. Castaneda was born in La Libertad, Peru on October 18, 1911, and was a son of the late Candelario Jose and Catalina (Llanos) Castaneda. He formerly resided in Bristol and formerly was employed at Lake Compounce. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford. Mr. Castaneda is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jorge and Luzmile Castaneda, Mario and Martha Castaneda, all of Peru, and Hector and Fortunata Castaneda of Bristol; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Olga and Ramon Coriat of Peru, Rosita Bardales of New Britain, Mirtha and Pablo Castaneda of Hartford, Betty and Juan Bustos of Canada, Elizabeth and Mickey Irala of Meriden, and Isabelle and Luna Castaneda of Bristol; two brothers, Jose and Eladio Castaneda of Peru; a sister, Maria Castaneda of Peru; 27 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Juanito and Cesitar Castaneda-Diaz, and a grandson, Christian Bardales. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, at 9:30 a.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford, for a Mass of Christian at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
