Sophie M. Centurelli

Sophie M. Centurelli, 100, of Kensington, CT, formerly or New Britain, CT, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Hospital of Central Ct. at New Britain General. Sophie was born in Newington, CT and was the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Parker) Dimkowski. She worked for Van-Way Printing for several years. Sophie watched Daily Mass on TV and also was a member of St. Andrew Church, New Britain. Sophie is survived by her son, Peter Centurelli and his wife Eileen of New Britain, CT, her daughter, Carol Bonfiglio and her husband Richard of Kensington, CT, her eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Florence Gelmini of Berlin, CT and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Peter Centurelli, Sr. Funeral rites for Sophie will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 396 Church St., New Britain, CT. A Private Burial will be held Tuesday in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
