Missing the most amazing man I´ve ever known. There are no words for the pain I feel in missing you. You were the most generous and wonderful person who touched the lives of many. Dad, I miss your unconditional love, heartfelt talks, and smile. I am so grateful for the memories I hold so dear. I love and miss you.

A Poem by David Ritter

If someone should ask for me, tell ´em heaven is where I´ll be. I´ve finished all my life´s chores, and now I fish on heaven´s shores.

The view is grand and the fishing´s great, but I yearn for you as I wait. I´ll save a spot on the river´s bend, for all those, I call family and friend.

But for now, head to the (lake or sea) and make a cast in memory, to all the good times that you had, with me- (your husband, your great grandpa) your friend, your grandpa...your dad.

And if the fish no longer bite or seem no longer worth the fight, ´cause it´s me that you are missin´, don´t worry - be happy - I´ve gone fishin´.

I love and miss you Dad!

The passing of my dad left a void in my life that´s impossible to fill, but his memory is a constant source of light and guidance even during this time that I am being tested. I should have written this article or a heartfelt letter for a late father, however the most I can do is pray that my message reaches him in heaven. God knows how much I miss him and how much I dream that I can hug him one more time.

A Man of Integrity. My father was a man of unparalleled integrity. He believed in doing the right thing, even when it was hard or unpopular. His honesty and strong moral compass were clear in everything he did, from his career to his relationships with family and friends. He taught me that integrity isn´t just about honesty, it´s about being true to yourself and your beliefs.

A Loving Husband and Father. At his core, Dad was a family man. His love for Mom was a beautiful example of partnership and commitment. My father was tough when it comes to discipline but as soft as cotton when it comes to my mother. They had a bond built on respect, understanding, and unwavering support. As a father, he was patient, kind, and always there for me when I needed him. He never missed a milestone and was always so proud of everything I accomplished.

A Source of Wisdom. Dad had a way of giving advice without making it sound like a lecture. His words were thoughtful and rooted in experience. Whether it was about dealing with life´s ups and downs or making important decisions, his advice was always spot on. He taught me to approach life with curiosity and an open mind, always ready to learn something new.

The Joy of Simple Moments. One of the most important lessons Dad ever taught me was to find joy in the small, everyday things. Whether it was a quiet evening at home, a family dinner, or a walk in the park, he showed me the beauty in the little things that make life special. Those moments, he believed, were what truly made us happy and fulfilled.

A Legacy of Strength and Resilience. Dad was one tough cookie. He faced life´s challenges with courage and grace, never letting them define him. His ability to stay positive and hopeful, even in the face of adversity, was truly inspiring. He taught me that strength isn´t just about being physically strong, it´s about having emotional fortitude and the ability to keep going no matter what.

Continuing His Legacy. Even though Dad isn´t here physically anymore, his legacy lives on in the values he instilled in me. I strive to honor his memory by living a life of integrity, showing love and kindness to others, and finding joy in the simple things. His influence is woven into who I am, and I´m forever grateful for the time we shared.

In Loving Memory. As I reflect on Dad´s life, I can´t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He wasn´t just an amazing father, he was an incredible human being. His love, wisdom, and strength continue to guide me, and his memory is a source of comfort and inspiration. Even though he´s gone, his spirit lives on in those he touched, and his legacy will always be a part of me.

Dad, I miss you so much. God knows how I want to hug you and tell you the things I never said when you were here. All I can hope is that my message reaches heaven. Your life was a gift, and your memory will forever be a treasure.

I miss you so much. These last 3 years are so very different than when you were here. Words can not explain the loss I feel and the deep heartache that comes with it. I hope every day you are fishing in heaven. I love and miss you so much.

Broken Chain - Ron Tranmer
We little knew the day that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn´t go alone.

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories.

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one

the chain will link again.

I love you
Terri

Dad,
These last 2 years have been the hardest and saddest years of my life. I've always been so grateful for yours and Mom's generosity over my life. I've seen you help complete strangers and you were always there to help us kids and our families. We had such a great childhood. You were loved so much that most of the time our friends were at our house. All the holidays and birthday get together we made so many wonderful memories. Life isn't the same without you. Please know how much I love and miss you! Thank you for everything you sacrificed for us. Terri

Dad you were an amazing father. My life has been blessed because of you. I thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for being there for me all my life in so many capacities. You supported me, encouraged me, and inspired me. I truly appreciate all the sacrifices you made to make life better for the rest of us. I realize now as an adult just how much you gave up for all of us. Thank you for going above and beyond to provide. Thank you for being the best father anyone could ever ask for. I cherish my time I had with you and it´s been a very difficult year without you. I love you so much and you are deeply missed.

You will be forever in my heart. You were always a kind and gentle man. My second family growing up on Ohio / Canton Ave. I spent so many nights at your house. You always made me feel loved and safe. Thank You for all the wonderful memories I hold dear with your girls. I fondly remember the countless hours we played in your yard; building forts, playing Wiffle ball and sleeping out on the front porch! Dad and Mom Shiner´s was always a constant warm place I could call home. I love you and will miss you
