Dear Tom and Family,

I was shocked to read of the passing of your Dad. I met your sweet father when I worked as a radio newscaster in Hartford in the late 80's..we became good friends. After leaving Hartford and moving to Atlanta we continued to keep in contact sending each other cards for every occassion. ( he especially liked St. Patricks Day cards) He was a true friend!!! I will remember him with kindness and grace.
I feel blessed to have known him!!

To Mr. Sheridan's Family,
I work at Westside Market around the corner from where Mr. Sheridan lived. He stopped into my work almost everyday to get the newspaper with his friend Persis. The mere presence of his familiar face always brought a smile to mine. He was always so kind and spoke often of his family. I asked Persis today where her "buddy" was (as I often called him), and she told me of his passing. I was so shocked and saddened as I had just learned of his son's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss, he was a good man. I hope that the memories you hold in your hearts bring you some peace in this time of sorrow. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

To the Sheridan family:

I am very sad to hear that Tom has passed away. My heart and thoughts go to all the Sheridan family. What a great person. I worked with him at the Hartford Post Office from 1979 thru 1985. When I arrived in Hartford he was the first one to extend a helping hand and no matter what the challenge was his reply would always be "no problem". He brought class the the Hartford Post Office and was well liked by everyone.
