Hattiesburg, MS
Sara Kathryn Parish passed from this life Monday, February 15, 2016. She attended Presbyterian Christian School from K5 until 9th grade, was an active member of Venture Church, and was involved with Independent Club of Hattiesburg.
Sara Kate was an outgoing young lady that was vibrant and full of life. "SK" as her friends called her, was an avid basketball, volleyball, and soccer player, member of the Senior Beta Club and served at The Fieldhouse, a local homeless shelter. Spending time with her friends and making them laugh was one of her greatest joys. She was dearly loved by friends and family. Sara Kate always enjoyed the holidays with family. Her cousins adored spending time with her, and she regularly coordinated the talent shows at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gerald Leslie Stevens and Gerald Parish.
Sara Kate is survived by her father and mother, Jason and Sherrie Parish; her brother and sister, Will and Emme of Hattiesburg, MS; grandmother, Diane Rogers Parish of Petal, MS; Uncle Eric Parish, his wife Laura, their children Eva, Robert, and Collin of Hattiesburg, MS; Uncle Kyle Parish, his wife Kathy, their children Cade and Mary of Collierville, TN; grandmother, Sandra Faye Cotten, Flora, MS; Aunt Tammy Thornton, her husband Robert, their children Caleb and Elizabeth Pellegrine of Canton, MS; Aunt Patti Cook, her husband Justin, their daughter Owen Cook of Crystal Springs, MS; Uncle Shane Stevens of Pearl, MS.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Venture Church of Hattiesburg with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Pastor Jeff Clark will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Lofton, Alden Rhian, Chanitz Molleston, Walker Sullivan, Harrison St. John and Boone Roberson.
Memorials may be made to The Fieldhouse (http://fieldhouseforthehomeless.com/)or a charity of your choice.

Our hearts were broken to hear about Sara Kate. I didn't personally know her but know lots of her sweet friends. All I have heard is what a wonderful friend and person she was.
I hope you can find some sort of comfort at some time knowing she is in heaven, Gods perfect place and you will see her again.
