Rebekah "Becky" Mohun was born on Dec. 20, 1949 in Los Angeles. She was raised in Gardena, California by her parents, John and Virginia Murphy. John was a 30-year LAPD sergeant and Virginia was a housewife and mother. Becky's older brother, Dennis Murphy, was also a LAPD policeman.
Becky graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1969 and El Camino Community College in 1971. She met Fred Mohun in 1969 and they were married in 1972. She had two children: Matthew Mohun and Heather Padjen. She and Fred traveled Europe with the United States Air Force. Upon Fred's discharge in 1981, they both came back to California, where she worked as a legal secretary until 2006 when she retired. In 2009, Becky and Fred moved to Lake Havasu City, and lived there until her death on Aug. 5, 2023. Becky was active in local church activities at Grace Episcopal Church in Havasu.
