Terry Quick Obituary

Terry Franklin Quick, 76, passed away Sept. 1, 2023 at Henderson Hospital. He was born March 30, 1947 in Alpena, Michigan to Elizabeth Thelma Fox and Amos Franklin Quick. He married Juanita Borja Kamingaksang on Jan. 5, 1967 in Tamuning, Guam.
Terry was a proud veteran of the US Navy, who served during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Bryce Canyon. He was a man of many interests and hobbies, including scuba diving, camping, hunting, fishing, off-road jeeping, demolition derby and golf. He was an animal lover, who always had dogs & cats. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, working on projects around the house and working on classic cars.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Borja Quick (Las Vegas); sisters Marjory Snider (Fennville, Michigan) & Marion Clewley (Alpena, Michigan), his three daughters Deirdre Seeman (Surprise, AZ with husband Jason Seeman), Demetra Starks (St. Cloud, FL with husband Bruce Starks Jr) and Theresa Chavez-Smith (Las Vegas with husband Robert Landon Smith); grandchildren Bruce Starks III with wife Lauren, Terry D Quick, Raul Chavez Jr with wife Brandee, Daniel Chavez with wife Brooke, Aaron Sanchez with wife Kayla, Tanesha Starks with partner Ryan, Sabrina Chavez with partner Kelli, Alexis Chavez with partner Lila, Robert L Smith Jr and Carlos Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Amos and Thelma Quick, mother-in-law Isabel Kamingaksang, sister Doris Doyle, brother Delmer Quick, sister-in-law Madge Quick, two brother-in-laws Ted & Dominic Kamingaksang, nephew Dale Quick and great-grandson Liam Chavez.
Funeral services will be Friday Sept. 22, 2023 9 a.m. -11a.m. at Star Mortuary 900 Nevada Hwy, Boulder City, NV 89005. Interment will be at the Boulder City VA Cemetery. We invite family and friends to leave condolences or memories at www.starmortuary.com.
