Yvonne Myers Obituary

Yvonne Carol Myers, December 30, 1937 – August 2, 2025

Yvonne Carol Myers passed away on August 2, 2025 in Lake Havasu City. She was born to Harold Elmer Morley and Georgina Irene LaRochelle Morley in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on December 30, 1937. She emigrated with her family in the 1950's and graduated in 1955 from Ft. Lauderdale High School, She had a very successful business career while living and raising her family in North Carolina.

Her greatest loves were her God and her family. She had three children; Shawn McCarthy of North Con-way NH, Cathy Duplissa Lopez (Fred) of Phoenix AZ; and Glenn Duplissa of Fort Myers FL. She also had three grandsons, Zachary Timke, Teagan McCarthy and Alex Lopez. She considered Bob's 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren to be her own and they loved her.

Yvonne had lifelong interests in dancing, sewing and baking. She began dancing as a child in Canada. In Lake Havasu she was part of two dance groups: A Touch of Class and Dixie Belles. She often sewed their costumes as well as costumes for Grace Arts Live. In her later years she was the Pie Lady at Calvary Bap-tist Church. She raised money baking pies for the church and for Faith and Grace. She was very talented and professional in all her endeavors.

Yvonne married Robert L. "Bob" Myers on July 28, 2018, in Lake Havasu City AZ. She is survived by her loving husband, her sister and brother-in-law, Melodie and Richard Stafford of Townsend TN and her niece Paige Stafford of Boca Raton FL. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Morley of Palm Har-bor FL.

A private remembrance will be held later. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, or Faith and Grace, P.O Box 774, Lake Havasu City AZ 86405.
