Laverne Sharp Obituary
Drennon
Laverne Sharp passed away Sept. 29, 2024. Daughter of the late Henry Gaines and Emma Lee (Bailey) Scott, she was the owner of Laverne's Beauty-Rama in Eminence for 29 years, worked at Henry County Middle School for 17 years and was a member of Drennon Christian Church but recently attended Union Baptist Church. Laverne was preceded in death by her husband; Jack W. Sharp, a son; Michael Sharp; and a brother; Bobby Scott.
She is survived by a son; Jack W. Sharp, Jr. (Mary), three grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Kim Sharp, brother; Jerry Scott and lifelong friend; Pat Ellis.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time on at the funeral home. Laverne will be cremated in accordance with her wishes.
