HELENA - Ruth Ann Elizabeth Ivey Logsdon, age 92, of Helena, MT, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024.
Born on May 9, 1932, in Ogallala, NE, Ruth was the daughter of Elizabeth and Guy Cecil Ivey. She grew up in Nampa, ID. Ruth married Glenn Logsdon Sr. on December 24, 1953, and together they shared many wonderful years of marriage, raising their family in Fairfield and Helena, MT. Ruth spent the remainder of her life in Helena, surrounded by her loved ones.
Ruth was devoted to her family and spent many years as a teacher's assistant, guiding and supporting children and education staff. She spoke fondly of her time with the school district and was known for her dedication and kindness.
In her retirement, Ruth enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, watching the birds in her yard, bowling, and wood carving. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in her later years, even her great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Joanne (Robert) Evans; her children: Glenn (Virginia) Logsdon Jr., Linda Kaye (Henry) Criddle, and Robert Guy Logsdon; her grandchildren: Joshua Criddle, Spring (Casen) Fitzgerald, Meagan Kaye (Derek) Fox, Noa Criddle, Marcie Lynn Logsdon (Landon Moore), Jaclyn Summer Logsdon, Cooper Logsdon, Kyler Pea, Glenda (John) Hardin, Vickie (Jeff) Smith, Elizabeth (Tommy) Gibbs; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Logsdon Sr.; her daughter, Cindy Adkins; her parents, Elizabeth and Guy Cecil Ivey; and her brothers: Guy Donald Ivey, Clarence Cecil Ivey Jr., and Kenneth Dale Ivey.
A graveside ceremony will be held on August 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Forestvale Cemetery, 490 Forestvale Rd, Helena, MT, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Little Red School House, 1635 Sierra Rd, Helena, MT, directly following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Ruth's memory.
