Daniel Robert Romasko was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on July 26, 1963, in Helena, Montana, Dan's journey through life was marked by his generosity, integrity, drive and an innate ability to fix and improve everything he touched. On March 19, 2026, in Granite Shoals, Texas, Dan's journey came to a peaceful end surrounded by his wife and children, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He left behind a legacy of accomplishment, hard work and love of his family and friends.
Dan's life was a testament to the power of dedication and the pursuit of knowledge. His career began with his graduation from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. This was the foundation for a lifetime of accomplishments, leadership, and an incredible reputation in the oil and gas industry. Dan's professional life was characterized by his commitment to excellence, his innovative spirit, and his ability to lead and transform the industry with his forward-thinking ideas.
Family was the cornerstone of Dan's life. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Yvette Salois, who stood by his side as a partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including Dustin (wife, Caitlin), Danni (husband, Steven), Quinn (wife, Grace), Jaydn, Aaron, and Samantha. Dan's role as a grandfather to Kooper, Brock, Blayke, and Camden was one he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his loving mother, Joanne Welch Romasko, and siblings Mike (wife, Sylvia), Theresa, Jennifer (husband, Jay) and John (wife, Joanne).
Outside of work, Dan rotated through a variety of hobbies. He enjoyed boating, restoring cars, and home projects. He also enjoyed strength training and triathlons, notably completing one of each with cancer. Dan's hands were rarely still and often covered in grease, as he took joy in creating, fixing, and improving his surroundings. His humor is celebrated by the echoes of laughter he's imprinted on our hearts.
Dan Romasko's life was framed by hard work, family, and service. His memory will continue to inspire and motivate all who were fortunate to know him. His passing is not marked by sorrow but instead punctuates happy memories of a life well-lived. It is also an enduring reminder that with passion and perseverance anything is possible. Dan's legacy is not just in the lives he touched, but in the way he lived his life.
