Frank Fuscardo Obituary

FRANK NICK FUSCARDO, 89 of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully at home following a short illness, and was taken into the arms of his heavenly father Thursday, September 4th, 2025.
A private graveside service will be held with Father James Sobus officiating.
Frank was born January 28, 1936 in Follansbee, WV, and was the son of the late Francis "Frank" and Mary (Cosenza) Fuscardo. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra (Skanes) Fuscardo, two brothers, Anthony and Ralph Fuscardo, two sisters Rose Marie Fuscardo and Florence (Fuscardo) Cassella and a daughter Cathy (Bills) Windeatt.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey (Lorrie) Bills, three grandchildren, Jenna (Daniel) Ramey, Jacob Bills and Bryan Chambers, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Nick and Sundo Fuscardo and many nieces and nephews, one of which, Michael Fuscardo, being his godson.
Frank was honorably discharged from the United States Army and, in 1962, moved from Weirton/Follansbee, WV to Huntington to begin his entrepreneurship journey with a pizza business. In 1963, he transitioned to barbering, and by 1968, he opened his own barbershop on 4th Ave. next to Marshall University, "Frank's Campus Barbershop". After decades of success, Frank retired earlier this year, officially passing the business down to Jeff.
Chapman's Mortuary is taking care of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Association and/or the American Lung Association.

I was blessed and fortunate to be a customer of Frank during the late 70's thru the mid 80's. I used to stop in to visit him just to chat so many times during my Marshall days. Always made it a point to visit with Frank on every trip back to Huntington after graduating & relocating to the west coast. Loved him as standup high character man full of humor, care and wisdom. He meant a lot to me as a father figure especially losing my father @ age 13 in 1975. Condolences and my heartfelt prayers & thoughts to the family! He will be missed and always remembered with love & appreciation.

Frank and Jeff have cut my hair for over 40 years. Not one time was it ever not done the way I wanted. When Frank cut my hair he was always pleasant and easy to talk with. I will miss him when I´m in the shop.

Saddened to read of Frank's passing . I was a regular customer during my time at Marshall in the early 70's and recognized and appreciated his expertise as a barber, humor, people skills and compassion for the community . My condolences to his family during this difficult time .
