Gary Smith Obituary


GARY SMITH, 72, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2024.
He retired from the City of Charleston (Motor Pool Superintendent), member and trustee of Bethel Temple Assembly of God, and graduated from Marshall University.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Thelma Smith, granddaughter Madison Callicoat, four sisters Peggy Sue Mallet, JoAnn Tincher, Olive Smith and Phyllis Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mitzi Smith; daughter Terri (Chris) Callicoat; five grandchildren Makenzie (Brandon) Stacy, Grace, Alex, Zach, and Karsyn Callicoat; two sisters-in-law Sherry Clark and Amy Johnson; great niece Bianca Clark; great great nephew Hudson Clark; two sisters Rose (Dan) Palmer and Judy (Mike) Rawlings; two brothers, Eddie (Jill) Smith and Mike (Barbara) Smith.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Bethel Temple Church Assembly of God, by Pastor Chuck Smith. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Temple Missions.

I just found out today of Gary´s passing. He hired me at the city of Charleston in equipment maintenance, enjoyed working for him he was a great boss. So sorry for your loss prayers for all the family
