Greg Jarrell Obituary

Our precious brother, GREG JARRELL, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2025, following a massive stroke. Greg was born in Huntington, WV on January 22, 1951 to the late Claude Jarrell and Mary (Slater) Jarrell. He graduated from HEHS in 1969. He went on to graduate from Marshall University with a degree in Business. While attending Marshall he was a member of the SAE fraternity.
Greg worked for several companies over the years, which took him away from Huntington and eventually landed him in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Martin) Jarrell, and his beloved son Chad, both of Florida. Greg also leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters. Mary Lou Sims (Greg Sims) of Ona, WV, Claudia Tighe of Canton, GA, and Cindy Knapp (Jim) of Durham, NC. Also, so dear to his heart, he leaves his cousin, Mark Doss, who was like a brother to Greg. And two other close cousins, Sharon Rep and Debby Carter.
Everyone who knew Greg also knew of his love and devotion to his friends and family. Greg poured everything he had into his work, and then upon his retirement, everything he had into the activities he loved. Daily, one would find him playing golf, tennis, pickleball, bowling or cards.
What wonderful memories Greg leaves with us. But still, there will forever be a hole in our hearts that no one else will ever be able to fill.
A celebration of his life will be held January 22, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Claudia I am so sad to hear of the death of your brother Greg. Though I never knew him personally, I know how much I love my brother. Losing a sibling is heartbreaking. Please know you will be in my prayers. In fact I am praying for you now. Much Love, Linda Huston Gregg.
