Howard Bailey Obituary


HOWARD LEE BAILEY, 89, of Salt Rock, passed away October 3, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor James Jobe. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery.
He was born May 19, 1936, in Salt Rock, a son of the late Arnold and Lillie Gibson Bailey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Morris Bailey and one sister, Lorraine Hanshaw.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Vickie Kay Bailey; two daughters, Angela Alphonse of LA, and Lee Anne Evanich (Dereck) of Salt Rock; three sons, Scott Bailey (Robin) of Lavalette, Kevin Bailey of Salt Rock, and Eddie Beckett of Salt Rock; two sisters, Jaunita Holton of Massilon, Ohio and Debra Fitzgerald of NC; six grandchildren, Dustin, Megan, Scott, Jessica, Kasey, and Wyatt; and two great-grandchildren, Berkley and Briar.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and friend and caregiver Mary Finley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
