Jim was a kind and gentle soul that I knew from years at the "Y".

Barbara and I were members with Jim in the Seasons Class at HBC for many years. Jim was cheerful, very engaging, warm&friendly, upbeat and enjoyed interacting with others! However, his having been born again as a child of God by way of the shed blood of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, AND his trek through his life to be as much like HIM as humanly possible is why he is now spending eternity with HIM! Lisa & family, take comfort in the knowledge that Jim is with Jesus and looking forward to being joined by all those who made the same decision for Jesus that he did! We continue in prayer for all you!

Saddened to read of Jim's passing. It's been many years since the late '60s /early 70's , but I fondly remember Jim at both at both Huntington East High School and The Highlawn Baptist Church we attended together. Every time Jim would see me he would always have a smile and something complimentary and uplifting to say like " you played a great game Friday Night " or, " Lookin' Sharp !" ,....always something to make others feel confident and good about themselves . I also read where Jim had a happy and productive life in Christ . What a Victory!

Dear Lisa and family,
We were so saddened to hear of Jim´s passing. What a wonderful man of which, no doubt, heard `well done good and faithful servant.´ as he entered his final home.
I was blessed to call Jim a coworker, friend, and more importantly, a prayer warrior.
You are in our prayers during this most difficult time and the days ahead.

It was sad to hear of Jim's passing. I first met Jim close to 20 years ago as a coworker with the State of West Virginia. He was beyond nice and welcoming to a 27 year old just getting started in the world of state government. Over the years we would run into each other. When Jim decided to retire in 2018 I was lucky enough to take over his position. On my first visits to the medical providers he had served for decades, I was often greeted by the staff as "the new Jim." I was quick to correct them and deny my ability to fill such huge shoes. I knew there was no way I could come close. There was only one Jim.

I knew Jim from Highlawn Baptist Church. Over the years when I would get to see him, he would always smile and ask me about the family. He also would always be the first to wish a Happy Birthday on Facebook. He was truly a special man and I know he will be so missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for all of your family and friends. Sandy Blank

Lisa and family,
Mike and I are so sorry for this terrible loss. James was such a wonderful Christian man. He was a mighty prayer warrior and he prayed a lot for my daughter and Mike's daughter.
You will be in our prayers. We will be sure to see James in Heaven when all is done with this world. Please call if you need anything or just want to talk. God bless you and keep you in HIS arms.
