John Gunn Obituary


JOHN C. GUNN, 66 of Barboursville, WV, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV following a short illness. He was born May 31, 1957 in Torrance, California, son of John Gunn and Judy (Clatworthy) Buckley.
John attended Marshall University and recently retired. He loved spending his time with his granddaughters, and was a rabid fan of the Marshall Thundering Herd and the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his daughter Jessica Robinson (Charlie), granddaughters Aubrey and Anna; mother Judy Buckley; sisters Sherry McDonnell (Tim) Melissa Wallo (John) nephew Anthony Spadaccini, and nieces Rebecca Case (Shawn) and Sara Engebretsen.
The family will be having a private memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
