JOSEPH LEE STULTZ

JOSEPH LEE STULTZ, 78, of Lavalette, West Virginia, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. He was born August 25, 1940, in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late Willard Kenneth and Victoria Louise Stultz. He was a retired superintendent of window services for the U.S. Postal Service in Huntington. Joe served as Sergeant E5 with the U.S. Army and continued to serve in the Army Reserve for seven years. While stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, his division was mobilized for deployment during the Cuban missile crises. He was also a 33rd Degree member of Wayne Masonic Lodge # 18, AF&AM and the Scottish Rites. He was a member and chairman of the board of directors of First Priority Federal Credit Union in Huntington. He attended Marshall University to take photography classes and computer sciences. He had a lifelong love of photography and was the original developer of Stultz Photography. This is a passion he has now passed on to his daughter, Debbie. A brother, Kenneth Stultz, and infant brother, David Stultz, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Stultz; two daughters, Debra J. Stultz, M.D., of Huntington, W.Va., and Tammy L. Stultz of Lavalette, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Sarah Jo Stultz and Noah Anthony Stultz; his sister-in-law, Joan Stultz, and nephews, Kenny Stultz and Scott Stultz (Sherry), all of Lavalette, W.Va.; a special uncle, Charles Bolt of East Lynn, W.Va.; and dear friends, James Vickers of Wayne, W.Va., Sherry Hamilton of Huntington, W.Va., and John Hammack, D.O. (Anne) of Proctorville, Ohio. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va., by the Wayne Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, W.Va. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m., at which time there will be a "Celebration of Life" service in his memory.
