Lorena D. Ransbottom

LORENA D. RANSBOTTOM, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 2, 2023. Lorena was the devoted wife of John S, Ransbottom for 73 years and loving mother of four children. Lorena will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lorena's legacy is one of Faith, Love and Family. Lorena's memory lives on through her cherished children and family: John and Connie Ransbottom of Burnsville, Minn., Teresa and Carl Altizer of Huntington, W.Va., Gary and Deanna Ransbottom of Glenwood, W.Va., Sandy and Bryan Bellomy of Huntington, W.Va., and Charles Frisby of Huntington, W.Va.; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bertha Daniels along with her 11 brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Aaron Brown. Lorena was a faithful member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her strong faith. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington, along with special nurse Lisa Valentine for their loving care and devotion. Service will be Friday October 6, 2023, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Service at 1 p.m. officiated by Dr. David B. Lemming. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made in her memory to Hospice of Huntington or Two Hearts Pregnancy Care Center in Ashland, Ky..
