MAXINE LOUISE CONNER

1928 - 2017

MAXINE LOUISE CONNER, 89, of Culloden, entered into Heaven Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born February 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Matt and Pearl Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Conner; four brothers, Odell, Tom, Junior and Clinton; four sisters, Opal, Goldie, Nova and Betty; two daughters, Mary Fannin and Bonnie Maddox; and step-son Larry Conner. Maxine was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, Milton. She is survived by her children, Wanda Dillon, Brenda Sue Elkins and Richard Maddox, all of Milton; Debbie Slone of Barboursville, Vickie Morton and Danny (Penny) Conner of Culloden; 16 grandchildren, Henry, Michael, Billy and Gary Lee Dillon, Charlie, Jeff and Heather Fannin, Amy Brenenstall, Gary Elkins, Jeremiah Maddox, Michelle Slone, Eric and Christina Morton, Justin, Jeremy and Kevin Conner; and a host of great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Becky Edwards; a special friend, David Estep and her caregiver, Rachel Conner. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Barry Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery.
