Norma Adkins Obituary
NORMA JEAN HAGLEY ADKINS, 91 of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her family. Norma was born January 12, 1933, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Joseph Hagley and Carmen Fortner Hagley. She was also preceded in death by her brother Joe (Betty) Hagley, great-grandson Jameson Nance, and son-in-law Danny Bills. She is survived by her loving husband Virgil Ray Adkins of 58 years; brother Jerry (Edith) Hagley of Altizer, WV; sons Earl Ray (Dianna) Adkins of Ona, WV, Virgil Ray "Raybuck" (Joanie) Adkins II of Milton, WV; daughters Deborah Kay Hagley of Barboursville, Rebecca Sue (Jeff) Nowlin of Ona, WV, Dana Elaine (David) Ramsey of Barboursville, WV. She also leaves behind grandsons Todd (Jessica) McKeny Jacob Ramsey, Danny Hagley, Dillon Adkins; granddaughters Danielle (John) Yates, April Adkins, Erica Dotson, Jolena Adkins; great-grandsons Boyd Ramsey, Nolan McKeny, Waylon Hagley; great-granddaughters Riley Ashworth, Miaka McKeny and a special niece, Kathy Hagley. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and will be missed by all. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. The family would like to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff of the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House and Dr. Weimer and staff at Valley Health. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary & Cremation Services, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 with Pastor Simon Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Friday at the mortuary. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.hensonandkitchen.com.
