Robert Shockley Obituary


ROBERT LEE "BOB" SHOCKLEY SR., 91 of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away February 22, 2024. He was born October 18, 1932, in Huntington, W.Va., son of the late Marion and Daisy Harshbarger Shockley. He retired from Mountaineer Gas Company with 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis I. Shockley. He is survived by daughters Beverly Jean Adams (Trace) of Huntington, Robin Farnsworth (David) of Huntington, and Betty Shockley (Steve) of Barboursville; son Robert L. Shockley Jr. (Melissa) of Ohio; one sister, Barbara Johnson of Huntington; grandchildren Jay, Josh, Samantha, Holley and Mikaela; and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to especially thank the staff of the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center for the care given to Bob. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
