ROLAND HAYES Obituary





ROLAND "RONNIE" HAYES, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at his residence in Proctorville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Lucian and Faye Fuller Hayes. Roland was retired as an inspector for the State of Ohio Food, Drug and Dairy Administration. He was on the Lawrence County School Board for 41 years. He was a member of the VFW Post# 6878 of Proctorville, Ohio, AM VETS, and Crown City #536 Masonic Lodge F&AM where he was also a Past Master and assistant education officer for the southern district for the Masonic Lodge. Roland was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Cincinnati and a member of Finley Methodist Church. He was also a Marine Corps Korean conflict veteran. He is survived by his wife, Rosalene Shockley Hayes; two sons, Mark (Tammy) Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio and Daniel (Pamela) Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; one daughter, Robin (Steve) Webb of Florida; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Pinkerman at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Entombment will follow at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Masonic services will be held, and graveside military rites will be conducted by Proctorville VFW Post #6878. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International. Condolences can be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.

Just found out about Ronnie's passing from a posting by Daniel. I wish I could be there with all of you for the funeral tomorrow. Being raised by my grandparents, Ronnie was like a brother to me.i am very sadden by this news. My heart is with all of you.
