Tammy Kennedy Obituary
TAMMY LYNN WRIGHT KENNEDY, born February 4, 1962 in Huntington WV; quietly received her eternal reward May 27, 2025 from St. Mary's Hospital after a short stay due to complications of a broken hip. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents; Harry Quinlan & Martha "Jane" Mooring Wright.
She is survived by her former husband Jeffrey Scott Kennedy; Prichard, a son, Tucker Scott Kennedy; Huntington, brother Terry Lee Wright; Charleston & her faithful companion and fur baby; Hank, all of WV. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & friends, who all loved her dearly.
Tammy touched the hearts of those that knew her. Meeting new friends from her many jobs including but not only; Herald Dispatch, Bath & Body Works, Guiding Light, Thelma's, Food Fair, Fifth Avenue Baptist Child Care, Christ Temple Child Care, St. Joe's Child Care, also operating her own Child Care service in her home in between her outside employment history. Her love for children was evident in her career choices.
She was a faithful member and attendant of Mount Union Methodist church & Kenova church of Christ, respectively. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family studying and encouraging others of the Goodness of God. Along with football, crochet, reading, shopping and eating out.
Chapman's Mortuary is attending to the family as well as Kenova church of Christ (1801 Chestnut Street, Kenova, WV) where a "Celebration of Life" memorial service is planned, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1 pm. Minster; Chris Stevens will be the officiant to honor her in life and in death. Visitation at the church after Noon on Saturday. The church will immediately host a covered dish dinner for everyone in attendance after memorial.

How do I say I'm sorry. Its not enough. She was an amazing mother, friend and a ray of sunshine when someone needed uplifted. The world is less without her. I love you Tammy.
