Joseph Feltner Obituary

CASEY - Joseph W. "Bill" / "Flea" Feltner, 72, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, IL. He was born February 19, 1939, in Greenup, IL, the son of Commodore Wayne Feltner and Ina Lorene Floyd Feltner. On June 30, 1989, he married C. Sue Strange. Survivors include his wife, Sue Feltner of Casey, IL; daughters, Trina Paul and husband Brian of Greenup, IL and Billi Jo "Jody" Robinson and husband Jim of Toledo, IL; grandchildren, Shandi Swim, Trey and Joseph Dain McDowell and Leah Paul; great grandchildren, Maddox, Taylor, Jordyn, Cooper and Kayle; stepdaughter, Linda Kay Beabout of Mattoon, IL; stepsons, Steven Strange and wife Judy of Greenup, IL and Raymond Strange of Casey, IL; step grandchildren, John Beabout, Cody, Lindsay and Megan Strange, Miranda Logsdon, Calli and Carson Robinson; step great grandchildren, Theron, Jax and Liam; sister, Nina Boyer and husband Lou of Villa Grove, IL and sister-in-law, Floris Feltner, Greenup, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pete Floyd Feltner. Bill was retired. He was a truck driver, farmer and a tractor mechanic by trade in Effingham and Greenup, IL. He was a former Greenup Twp. Road Commissioner, a lifetime member of the Cumberland County Sportsman's Club, a forty year member of the Greenup Masonic Lodge #125 and a member and legionnaire of the Casey Moose Lodge #1545. Bill was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. He loved the farm, his John Deere tractors, tractor pulling and fishing. A Masonic Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday December 30, 2011 by the Greenup Masonic Lodge #125. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Juenger officiating. Burial will follow in the Feltner Cemetery, Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; SBL Cancer Center, 500 Health Center Drive, Mattoon, IL 61938 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2001 S.
