SELBYVILLE, Delaware - Juanita Mae Wilson, 81, of Selbyville, DE, formerly of Maroa, IL, passed away peacefully at 7:46 AM, July 9, 2024, at her home in Delaware. She spent the final three years of her life residing with her daughter and her family in Delaware, after spending most of her life in Maroa, IL.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL, with Pastor Brian Talty officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be held at 9:00 - 11:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home, immediately preceding the services.
Memorials may be directed to either First Christian Church, Decatur, IL, or Maroa United Methodist Church, Maroa, IL.
Juanita was born March 30, 1943, in Casner, IL, the daughter of Neal and Mildred (Riley) Williams. She married Robert Curtis Wilson on June 25, 1961, in Forsyth, IL. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2019.
Survivors include her children: Tamara R. Stockon, Stonington, IL, Jeffrey A. (Julie) Wilson, Colleyville, TX, Melissa R. (Mark) Kopec, Selbyville, DE; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and siblings: Mary Jane Fornwalt, AZ; Walter (Maria) Williams, FL; and Roger (Sharon) Williams, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, JoAnne Brame, Warrensburg, IL; a brother-in-law, Donald Fornwalt; and a brother-in-law, Robert Brame.
Juanita was a longtime member of First Christian Church, Decatur, IL. She was known as a dedicated wife and mother who prioritized others before herself and was a floral designer for more than 40 years at Williams Nursery.
