MOWEAQUA - Randy A. Morrell, 76, of Moweaqua, IL, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023.
A service to honor Randy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randy will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Moweaqua.
Randy was born on October 18, 1947, in Decatur, IL, the son of Marcel and Irene (Jackson) Morrell. He married Rhonda Kaufman on November 11, 1972. He later married Lana Lee Morston on March 24, 2002. Randy proudly served in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1999 from Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was also an adjuster for Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company and was a former U.A.W. president.
Randy's family was always his top priority. He loved his kids and grandkids, and took pleasure in helping them with projects and spending time with them. He was an exceptional neighbor and friend, and always did his best to help those around him. Randy loved all of God's creatures, and often took time to admire the beauty of his surroundings.
Randy is survived by his wife, Lana Lee Morrell of Moweaqua, IL; children: Jason Morrell of Moweaqua, IL, Teresa Riech (Ryan) of Peoria, IL, Julie Roe (Benjamin) of Macon, IL, and Frank Morrell (Angie) of Glenarm, IL; grandchildren: Avril Morrell, Marcel Morrell, Marshall Riech, Oliver Riech, Ella Riech, Aaron Phillips, Isabelle Roe, Sophie Roe, Nate Morrell and Deklan Morrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leah May Moore; and his brother, Larry Morrell.

WOW what a shock! There's just no proper words. Randy was a great friend and even better person. We rode to work together for a short time when we both worked at GE. We graduated together also. So So sorry
