Alice Wakeman Obituary

WAKEMAN Alice Faye Wakeman, of Tavernier, FL, born in Bayfield, WI, was called home peacefully on Sept. 7, 2015 at 97 years young. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker and committed her life to God and family. Faye attended Stetson University and was Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Everglades Chapter. She dedicated 73 years of marriage to the love of her life, Charles H. Wakeman, whom she now joins in eternal love and peace in Heaven to continue their love story. Faye's endearing spirit and gracious disposition epitomized the perfect Southern woman. Her beautiful smile, gentle manner and refined elegance are reminiscent of a time gone by and its greatest generation. Faye was predeceased by her husband, Charles and is survived by her 3 children, Dianne, Jack and Susan; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation is from 6-9 PM Tuesday, 9/15 with Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Stanfill F.H. Interment at 1:00 PM Wednesday, 9/16 at Woodlawn Park, 3260 SW 8 St., Miami.
