Dear Phyllis and family, We were so sad to hear the news of Al's passing.My brother, Daryl,whom you met while you were in Maine with me, Judy, and Don Connell, all wish you all the best and hope that with the love of family and friends you'll be able to grieve and remember Al and all the good and bad times you shared. We will miss his humor and trips . Just remember we loved him too. And we Love you too.

Dear Phyllis and family,
As a novice Frustrated Maestro,I only had the privilege of playing under Al's direction one time, but his warmth and genuine concern for "his" band members left a lasting impression on me. He made each of us feel as if we were the most important player in the orchestra, and I'll never forget how he came up to me on the last day of the rally and thanked me for participating. He was and is a true gentleman.The world will just not be the same without him.

Sam and I are so saddened to learn of the passing of Al. He was such a great guy, and I had so much fun working with him. He will be sorely missed. Janet and I are overwhelmed by the passing of Al. We have only known you and Al for a short time but consider you as friends. It was through that friendship that we came to know the maestros and enjoy the happy times spent in your company. We will miss Al, his warmth and laid back style of making music. Our prayers are with you in this most trying of times. I lost my first wife ten years ago and know the hurt you feel.

Dear Phyllis, Bonnie called me to tell me about Al. I was very sorry to hear it. Im 53 now and I have know Al since I was a child. I did not know him well but I always sensed his decent kind nature. He left a fine legacy behind in nurturing a fine family. May his memory be a blessing to you and all his loved ones.
