BRUCE BATES Obituary

BATES, BRUCE HAMILTON, passed away on December 30, 2016. Born on August 1, 1953, Bruce was a beloved husband who is survived by his wife Barbara, two daughters Amanda and Carla, five siblings, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He loved his family and friends so much that he fought his hardest to win his battle with lung cancer. Unfortunately he lost this battle, but he will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Bruce can be remembered by his love for the guitar and dedication to his work in the sports field industry. Services will be held at the Sunset Congregational Church. I met Bruce at a local Miami guitar meetup. I only knew him for a little while but he was always friendly and very welcoming. It was always a pleasure to see Bruce in the group. He played his guitar and sang with joy and enthusiasm. I was saddened to learn today of his passing. He will be missed.
